In-house legal departments often do not have adequate resources to meet the increasing demands placed on them. Engaging a traditional law firm for special projects or for day-to-day needs is expensive, and increasing legal staff may not be an option.
With nearly a decade of in-house experience at Texas Medical Center corporation (including eight years as General Counsel), I understand the challenges faced by in-house legal departments. In my role as General Counsel, I counseled senior management and the Board of Directors on all legal matters affecting the corporation. I drafted and negotiated a wide variety of commercial agreements, supervised the legal department, and managed the legal budget. As a result, I understand the balancing of business and legal concerns, and know how to work as part of your team to create practical solutions and mitigate risk.
I provide flexible, experienced support for your in-house legal department at reasonable rates, without the need to add to your legal staff. Whether your needs arise from special projects that require sophisticated skills in technology or commercial transactions, routine contract workload overflow, staff absences, or any other reason, I can provide the high quality legal support you need at cost-effective half-day or full-day rates.
For companies without an in-house legal department, I also offer flat fee, monthly legal service plans that allow regular attorney access at predictable, affordable rates. These plans are tailored to meet your specific legal needs.
